The file 'Print-in-place Clearance Test 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 592.4KB.
This design uses a number of ball shaped inserts with the top & bottom sliced off so that they can not only rotate around the main axis but can also be rotated in all directions for the quality of the insert's sides to be checked. There are 7 inserts with clearances ranging from 0.1mm to 0.4mm so you can find the optimum clearance for 'print in place' designs. Use the highest quality setting and set the 'Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion' (also known as elephant's foot) to -0.5mm to ensure that there is no extra filament pushed out on the bed that can jam the insert. If you use this please leave a comment with your results so that I know if my work is appreciated.
