The file 'Presta Valve Nut Loosening Tool 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 29.8KB.
I'm always on the lookout for some new useful thing to print, and just yesterday I happened to notice the little black tool in this Instagram post from Stan's NoTubes. Clever little tool to help remove a Presta valve nut from a tubeless setup, and really, really simple. Couldn't help but think how well it would lend itself to 3D printing, and with a little bit of work, here we are.
Note: Stan's is pretty clear that you shouldn't use tools to tighten the Presta valve nut, and I've seen issues with valves that were installed too tight and wound up having problems later. Do not - and I really mean this - do not use this to tighten the valve nut. You can get the valve nut tight enough by pushing the rubber end into the rim, and then tightening the nut by hand. Think of this tool like the big Park Tool pedal wrench - you never use it to install the parts, you just use it when someone else has done it poorly and you have to remove the parts.
So, with that out of the way, it's a simple, quick print, and if you throw one in your bag or backpack, you won't be so outta luck when you're trailside and can't get the valve out, or someone you're riding with has the same problem.
