Potentiometers are sensitive instruments that are not made to withstand stress. With this enclosure you can take radial measurments without risking damaging your sensor. I made it as a part of my puppet manipulator.
This enclosure fits standard WH148 potentiometers. Just glue the bottom part to the bottom of potentiometer (Optional), put middle part on top of it making sure that small rectangle slot fits a metal part on the top of the potentiometer. Screw M6 nut on the knob. Put some lube in both holes of the middle part (Optional). Then align a top part with a slot on the knob and push it on. If it doesn't slide in, move it a little until it fits snuggly. If everything is done correctly, you should have a nice protected potentiometer!
You might want to customize both top and middle parts to add some connections. I applied Fusion project to help you with that.
