A minimalist poster holder for cloth posters sold at cosplay/hobby fairs, designed when I couldn't find one online.
This minimalist poster holder is designed for cloth posters commonly sold at cosplay and hobby fairs. The wedges feature tight tolerances, so it's recommended to print them as-is. However, if the fit is too tight, you can reduce the thickness by ±0.2mm. For optimal support, I suggest using 2-4 wedges for both the top and bottom of your poster. Adding more wedges or increasing the infill can add weight to the bottom, making the poster hang cleaner and stay in place even in mild wind.
The wedges can be made longer if needed. While the "top" section (with holes for an elastic band or thread) can be stretched to fit longer posters, this might distort the hole size. Though not aesthetically perfect, it should still function well, with the holes facing upwards and out of direct view due to gravity.
Additionally, you can print an extra "top" part and use it as the "bottom," utilizing the holes to add ballast weight or attach decorative elements like dreamcatchers, which can also serve as additional weight to keep your poster stable.
The 30 cm length is just tight enough to fit on the print bed of a Bambulab P1s when rotated at 45 degrees. If this fit is too tight, you can reduce the length of the long parts by 1-2mm (from 30 cm to 28 or 29 cm), allowing them to fit comfortably. Alternatively, you can print each long part one at a time at full length. I printed this in PolyTerra PLA at 15% infill, without supports.
