I discovered the "Laser Offset" in LightBurn which prompted me to build this mount for a 12mm laser module. It glues to the corner of the laser head and allows for alignment of vertical lines for squaring (once calibrated) and the cross in the center when the Laser Offset is dialed in makes a great tool from the "Current Position" job origin in LightBurn.
The biggest problem with these small 6mm and 12mm laser modules at that short distance is they are too bright and bloom. Inserting a 47-ohm resistor in series with the battery supply was just the fix. I'll put the links to all the bits-n-pieces below.
UPDATE: The little CR2032 battery was just too weak and didn't last long. I upgraded to a small dual AA cell battery pack. Will update pictures when I get it mounted.
