Here is my version of Portable power bank phone charger. I wanted high capacity and portability. I couldn’t find any others on Thingiverse when I started, so I made my own. After working on this for 3 months (Having to stop due to other projects) I saw one posted here. – Wow, Great minds think alike! Mine is not any better – just different implementation.
And while you may want one, it would be cheaper now to get the case and module in the kit offered by Banggood.com. DIY Kit Dual USB 5V 1A 2A Power Bank 18650 Battery Charger Box ;

But that is not why you are on this site – you probably like the total DIY route!
So here are some the parts I used;

  1. Dual USB 5V 1A 2.1A Mobile Power Bank 18650 Battery Charger PCB Module Board

  2. 18650 Batteries. Uitra Fire 3800mah without solder tabs Available just about everywhere. I constructed a battery powered spot welder to attach the soldering tabs.
