The file 'Popper Licious – Lure – Fishing Lure 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 70.5KB.
Preferred scale: 150% with 3 walls and 3 top and bottom layers at 0.3 and 10-15% Grid infill at 45 and - 45 degrees, this has given me the best results as there will be an X through the middle of the lure and the chamber will have a much smaller bridging to do. The popper, when resting in the water, has to sit at an angle (see picture for reference) I had to play around with different hook sizes until I was able to find the right combination. One thing to keep in mind is, if you print it at 100% size, it will be very dense and not float much (even sink once the hooks are on) so consider lightening it up when printing smaller versions than 130%. If you intend to use a bb for rattling, don't forget to pause the print to add it.
The 3 holes are designed to not come out as holes but to trick the slicer into adding material in that area so the eye screw has something to bite into. I personally drill the holes with a bit half the diameter of the eye screw and then use epoxy to secure it.
Poppers are my favorite type of lures and I decided to design my own, Features include:
Everything you need to finish this lure:
Budget Treble Hooks
Better quality hooks
Split Rings
Split Ring Tool
Eye Screws
