My take on the pop-top hook mechanism. No supports and everything slides or snaps into place. I made it so the design for the top head is independent of the mechanism so it should be easy to swap out with something else. I put a monkey face in for the first design although I may throw some more in later. I've also included the blank that represents the area available in the top. You can just do a boolean intersect with that piece and another model to make a custom top figure. There is a spot to hook a small rubber band between the body and the lever arm if you want more resistance to popping up, but I've found that gravity works just fine to reset the hook. You may have to pull down the tail slightly while installing on a nail or screw in the wall.
The monkey face design is not my own, it was from georgesnikkei https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/cute-monkey-miketon
