Because dropping $8.99 on a new canister for your recently purchased second-hand sprayer is not your style! Print this coupler and stick-it to the man. All it takes: two $1.99 water bottles and $1.00 plumber's tape.

Works great.

Tapered threads.

Tested on a Campbell Hausfeld sprayer, but noticed identical canisters on Husky sprayers. Sprayer thread size is 5/8 Fine American Standard size (or M16 with a 1.5mm pitch).

Instructions:

Step 1.
Find 2 water bottles with a 27mm thread diameter. Think: Aquafina, Dasani, DejaBlue, 20fl oz Mountain Dew. Heck, even a 2L Pepsi bottle will do.

Step 2.
Cut entire bottom of one bottle to make funnel. After making funnel, use Bottle2Bottle_coupler to tighten funnel onto second water bottle. Then, pour paint onto second water bottle.

Step 3.
Remove Bottle2Bottle_coupler from water bottles and tighten Bottle_Paint_Gun_coupler to bottle containing paint.

Step 4.
Tighten bottle with the Bottle_Paint_Gun_coupler onto paint gun.

Step 5.
Use knife and slash a breather hole onto top of water bottle before spraying.

  • Don't forget to use plumber's tape for steps 2,3 and 4! These water bottles have non sealing threads and leak with out plumber's tape!
