Summary

I installed a variable-speed pump, which rendered the pop-up floor cleaners ineffective due to the low flow. The pump pressure was too low to overcome the spring in the pop-up head. My solution involved using gravity to make the head retract rather than relying on the spring. I first assembled a cylinder, filled it with sand, and sealed it using CA gel glue. Afterward, I assembled the remaining parts of the unit. To enable rotation, I used a stainless steel rod, 1.9mm in diameter. I cut the rod to approximately 35.5mm in length and rounded the ends with a file. Some trial and error may be necessary to determine the exact length of the pin. I secured the pin from the bottom before attaching the sand-filled cylinder.

Printed at 0.2mm and several perimeters with 100% infill to eliminate any air pockets or infill, preventing the tool from floating in water. The installation tool is effective. I printed it with multiple perimeters and 100% infill to ensure it is solid throughout.
