The file 'Pokeball Custom Shell Maker 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.5MB.
EDIT: Changed the length of the hexagon keys, shells made with the previous keys didn't fit right
Making this model for anyone who wants to make custom Pokeball Shells for my Pokeball collection! I used these cutters to make the Moon Ball shells found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4657532
Included in this is:
Classic Pokeball Shell Cutter,
Futuristic Pokeball Shell Cutter,
A Whole Pokeball for sizing and shell reference, as well has reference to put the Palm Rest,
and the Palm Rest, which is that bump on the back of the shells to make the ball more comfortable in your hands.
To make a shell:
-Get a rounded 3d model
-Use the Whole Pokeball file and size the rounded 3d model to match almost perfectly in size with the Pokeball
-Import the preferred Shell Cutter and align your 3d model with the shell cutter
-Using your preferred program, cut the rounded 3d model using the shell cutter
-Now with your new shells, make sure they are still lined up with the Whole Pokeball file
-Now Import the Palm Rest file, duplicate it, and line it up perfectly with how it is on the Whole Pokeball
-Combine the two Palm Rests with your new shell
-Export and Print the shells
And you're done! Please leave any comments or suggestions that you think can help improve the model! Remember the shell cutter isn't meant to be a printing item, just a tool so you can make custom shells.
Happy Modeling!
