My boys closet was missing a knob, so I decided to make them new ones shaped like pokeballs. (they talk pokemon all the time.)
It's a 40mm diameter knob, with a 4mm metric screw thread in the back.
My Ender 3 print thread wasn't perfect, so it took some serious force to drive the screw. (impact wrench). expansion adjustments in the slicer might fix that,
I started with this pokeball (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:635900) by MoustachePolice, then added backing and a thread using the OpenSCAD threads module by dan_kirshner here. command: metric_thread (diameter=4, pitch=1, length=34,internal=true);
I printed with 50% infill with SUNLU PLA+.
0.12 layer height
no support
Might paint in the future.
Please post a make if you print one!
