Summary

I have carried pocket notebooks as a part of my daily carry for a few years now. You know, the Moleskine or Field Notes 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch variety. I fill them with important numbers, dates, lists, and random musings, among other things. In an increasingly digital world, I have found it quite beneficial to use the physical act of writing notes to help me better remember and process ideas for all parts of my life.

The one part of carrying a notebook that I feel like could be improved is the commitment one must make to the layout on the paper. If a man chooses lined paper, then he is forced to continue to use lines until that notebook is filled. It is the same if he chooses dots or graph paper. But what if a user could customize each page to his whim? This is why I remixed this stencil.
This stencil allows the user to customize his notebook page to the meet the required purpose. Ideally, it would be used to create a layout on blank notebook pages. I have found, however, that it can be used fairly easily with lined paper, as well.

The enclosed stencil templates include:
-An isometric dot grid stencil (sized for 5 1/2 inch paper).
-Other pocket notebook stencils can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3798657

Notes:

  1. This is designed to work with a 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch picket notebook. The stencil is sized to fill the page. But, they can certainly be used on paper of any size.
  2. The dots are relatively small, so a fine tipped pen or freshly sharpened pencil are necessary.
  3. This stencil is designed to be thin. Only .4mm thick, to be exact. This enables a two layer print at the .2mm resolution, which gives a durable, but thin stencil that can be carried in the notebook for use when needed.
  4. For a thicker, more rigid stencil, simply increase the Z scale in your slicer program.
