Designed for use with normal sized playing cards. Each section can hold 2 playing cards without any overlap (with overlap it can hold a fair number of cards, 4-8 comfortably). Multiple sections can be connected to create a longer tray.
I primarily use this for board games when I will have a hand of cards that I don't need/want to be holding at all times, ex: Battelore, Ticket to Ride, etc.
It could possibly fit tiles, if they are less than 2mm thick.
