This gives the water left behind hope and serves to feed the machine. The running water raises itself in supplication to the level of the escape portals and equilibrium is achieved. Thus liberated and complacent, the water is then tempted into the planter pot with visions of power and great wealth. Channeling dark water magic, we compel it upwards into the chosen substrate and thus to the nutrient spindles of the plant itself.
So, if you're into binding or elemental magic and the subjugation of inanimate fluids, this is the planter you need.
