When building a new fence I wanted a tool to connect to one plank to align the next plank. The final design included a few bore holes and some wedges. I ended up not using the wedges much.
As you can see from the pictures I fix the tool to the already bolted plank with a quick wise and then let the new plank rest on it until I bolt it in place (the other end of the plank is hold up with another quick wise to the next pole). At the end I connect the two planks with a hole plate.
All the parts have a pattern that make them fit together and stay in place.
The pictured model is the 38mm size. 38mm is the inside width. The plank I used was 28mm (just over 1 inch).
I have not printed/tested the 58mm model (for up to 2 inch planks/boards).
The 38mm U-shape part I printed with 0.28 resolution, 4 walls and 40% cubic infill to make in sturdy. The wedges I printed with 25% infill.
