This things is an add-on for my homemade pilot kneeboard. It will hold a commercial tablet silicon soft-shell on one side (mounted with low profile screws threaded in brass inserts) and a classic cardboard and paper holder on the other side.
You can change face in flight simply by rotating along the axis without need to open the binder rings. This is easily done with a single hand, without need to look at the device.
I added press buttons for a quick and blind hold fit, and a simple lock mechanism that prevents the press buttons to unlock while in place as they are not really tight.
