I liked Palmer's Pocket Razor Blade Tube Filament Cutter, but I wanted it to cut pills pretty much exactly in half. I asked him to upload the base (pre-notches) and he was gracious enough to do so. Now it was a relatively simple task to drop a "V" into it and cut it out. One more thing, I reduced the top and bottom width by 2% so that the razor blade would fit a tad tighter. The screw didn't mind that minor change in thread.
I used PLA and 10% honeycomb infill. Use whatever and put whatever infill in. His design is pretty solid, so just about any combination of plastic/infill will work...
One tip: Only push the blade down until you hear a click. At that point the pill is cut in half. Pushing the blade all the way through the pill tends to crush it a bit.
