Summary

Camera cradle for servo mount as a pan mechanism for a RunCam 2 or RunCam 5 camera.

Designed for use with emax ES08D II or ES08A II servos, but may work with other servos.

There is no assembly required for either of these, other than to mount them on a servo and drop a RunCam into them. I just printed one of the RunCam 2 cradles prior to publishing these, and it required no modification to mount on a servo.

There are two versions of the RunCam 5 mount to aid in centering, as I have yet to have an emax ES08D or ES08A servo that centers with the control horn straight. Use the CCW version if your servo horn centers a bit offset in the counter-clockwise (or anti-clockwise) direction. Likewise, use the CW version if the horn is centered a bit clockwise. This will aid in centering if you need to adjust positioning in your flight controller.

I do not have a CW vs. CCW version of the RunCam 2, but it is designed for CCW centering, so centering may be off, depending on your servo - you may need to adjust the settings in your flight controller.

The cradles are designed for the cameras to essentially snap in, for both the RunCam 2 and the RunCam 5. The RunCam 2 camera should actually lock into place with a bit of a snap, whereas the RunCam 5 is basically held in by flexible tabs at the top. Both should be sufficient for casual flying. For more extreme conditions, you may want to add a velcro strap or piece of tape if you feel at all uncomfortable with the fit.

If you are not using the RunCam as an FPV camera, you can always drive it from a Y cable to pan along with an FPV camera that is on its own pan mechanism. I have a dual-mount version that I may upload in the near future where a RunCam 2 and a micro (19mm) FPV cam can mount on the same pan cradle. I plan to make a dual mount for a RunCam 5 + FPV camera as well.

I have a horrible monster of a RunCam 2 mount for pan + tilt, which is a bit ridiculous, but if there is any interest, I will publish that at some point as well.
