The file 'Philips Hue Dimmer Switch And Smart Button Decora Rocker Wall Plate Cover 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 186.7KB.
Every Philips Hue switch solution for rockers (paddles) requires rewiring, which I didn't want to do. Nor did I want a Philips Hue switch stuck alongside my legacy rockers. Also, I no longer needed 2 switches on my 2-gang, instead, I wanted to convert it to 1 Hue switch.
This design handles all those issues. They will sit on top of the rockers requiring no rewiring, just switch the plates.
There are 3 models included here that will be a drop-in replacement for Leviton Decora Rocker faceplates:
They do not require the usage of the included plates with the dimmer switch or the smart button.
Stick neodymium magnets on the back and you are good to go.
Print Instructions
Print with front face down, and supports only on the indent portion. I disabled supports for outer filet and screw holes and it prints well. I also disabled supports for the small horizontal bar indent portion for the Hue Switch.
Adjusting slicer to print solid layers for the front face (bottom on build plate) portion will make the plate firmer, which is especially useful for the Hue Button, since it takes a bit of pressure to press that and puts stress in the middle of the print.
Update 09/30/24 - Made the screw hole shaft thicker. Made the walls of the plate thicker. Reduced the hue button indent.
