Summary

This is a design for the large knob of the Philips EE (1003, 2003 etc) electronics kit from the 1970-1980s.
It has a hole in the outer edge to put the worm screw (or a normal screw of the right length) in and to tap the screw hole. The screw hole is 2.3mm and needs tapping. This replaced the square nut and worm screw that always fall out.
And of course can be used for both any other variable capacitor or any potentiometer. The hole for the axle is 6.1mm, to fit a 6.0mm axle just right. And there is a splined version.
And they have build in bars for support and should be printed without support and without build plate adhesion. Depending on your printer, use a 2 line skirt or not.
A 0.15mm layer height in PLA works very well. I used 1mm wall, 25% infill, 1mm top/bottom and as said, no support. 0.8mm should work as well.
Uses 16-17 grams of PLA.
There is a serrated and flat edge version, for your preference. The flat version has a 1mm higher middle bit. I find the not-original flat version nicer.
Happy printing.
