Summary

As I have a UHF extension on my Dragon HF, there is no sock out there that would cover the extension/glorified copper nut and volcano nozzle.

This is a remix of the sock mold by Tzimitsce, which is an excellent fit for the stock Dragon block. Added an extension to the tip.

Tips for pour/curing:

I used Smooth-On Mold Max 60, which is temperature-resistant up to ~295C and doesn't rely on atmospheric moisture to cure.

If you have a small vacuum pot/vacuum chamber, I strongly recommend de-gassing the mixed silicone before injection (3 to 5 minutes, but not much longer as it becomes viscous quickly). Using a syringe with a 4-5mm tip, push the plunger to fill the tube, press the tip firmly onto the larger of the two holes on the mold, then squeeze until silicone comes out of the vent (smaller hole).

Optionally, take the syringe and fill the smaller vent hole such that additional silicone pours out of the fill hole to ensure there are no voids whatsoever.

Lastly, be patient with the curing process and removal of the part afterward.

Happy Printing!
