The file 'Pet Door For Screen 3D Printer Model' is (mix, stl) file type, size is 3.5MB.
I wanted a pet door for a screen so my cat can go in and out as he pleases, but also not letting in all the bugs.
I started by remixing an existing pet-door, but found it was easier to just build the frame myself.
The frame is 241mm x 290 mm and is a single print (sorry if it wont fit on your printer)
Printing:
1: Pet door frame - back.stl
1: Pet door frame - front.stl
1: thin flap.stl
The door prints best with supports, the frames do not need any supports
Assembly: bottom frame -> screen (with small hole for bottom frame hinge cut) -> thin flap -> top frame
To reduce weight, and prevent tearing the screen, I used expoy glue to bond the 2 fames together with the screen in sandwiched inbetween.
I found it was best to line up the pet door through the screen (while it was on the floor) and then cut the notch for the back door's hinge. Next I applied glue to the back frame and screen, and then added the flap and front. I let it sit overnight with constant pressure applied. In the morning I cut out the screen in the center (and a little bit of sanding the edges) and it was all done.
I also uploaded the .mix file if anyone wants to modify or remix
