Summary

I retired and now live full time in a 5th wheel RV. I needed a monitor stand that could REALLY handle the bumps and jerking from my move every 2 weeks. I looked over the others here and everyone of them had the users asking to make is stronger. I thought the same thing. SOOOO I'm VERY sure this one will fit the bill. it even uses near roll of filament if you decide to print 100% solid as I did!

The wall plate and the sides can be a nice looking wood and will also be stronger than what you could print. I tried to keep all the parts as small and sturdy as possible. Changing the length of the wall plate or sides will give you more clearance from the wall. With the stock sizes I found the monitor distance from the wall is between 180-220mm from the wall. (not including the left to right tilt.

I'm very proud of this design and I think once you put it together you will see why.
I don't ever expect to see anyone having issues with their monitor falling off the wall with this puppy!! if you do it is going to be print issues (layer adhesion) and not design. If you have issues take this design and make ALL wood parts (this was all thought of during design and I kept the parts very simple and blocky for this reason.)

If you really like this design and want to buy me dinner/ cup of joe..etc. I put my paypal address in the text of one of the pictures. (Thingiverse's links for tips NEVER work. I constantly get emails from their site saying someone tried but it failed. argh) I also included all the original source files for anyone to change as they desire. in Solidworks 2016 or newer open "Fit.SLDASM" it even has the full motion of the arms working. I made a video of the motion but this darn site won't take the 1meg .mp4 file argh. so I zipped it up, seeing this video explains how everything works.
