The file 'Penguin Petrol Display (1/64 Generic Petrol Station) 3D Printer Model' is (STL,rar) file type, size is 2.0MB.
A generic petrol station for 1/64 scale cars, name it penguin petrol to stick with my penguin theme.
The cars I used in the photos are:
If you wish to have a display base tweaked to fit to a different car from a different brand, please send me these dimension for the display base holes: https://imgur.com/5T6mb2L
The display base is separated into many parts for easy printing and colour swap. The base parts are:
1) Base (BaseV2.STL)
2) Flat Base (FlatBase3.STL & FlatBase3 - No Holes.STL)
Tiny Building parts:
1) Building Walls (Walls.STL & Walls - Plain.STL)
2) Roof (TinyRoof2.STL)
3) Door (Door2.STL)
4) Table (Table.STL)
5) Shelf (Shelf.STL)
Optional parts for tiny building:
1) Cash Machine (CashMachine.STL)
2) Prop 1 (Prop1.STL)
3) Prop 2 (Prop2.STL)
4) Prop 3 (Prop3.STL)
Station Top parts:
1) Station Top Walls (TopWall.STL & TopWall - Plain.STL)
2) Station Ceiling (Plate.STL)
3) Station Top (Top.STL)
4) Penguin Petrol Logo (PenguinPetrolLogo.STL)
5) Clip (Clip.STL)
Optional station top parts:
1) 3mm LED Light fix (LightPatch.STL)
Fuel Pump parts:
1) Petrol Machine Base (PetrolPump3.STL)
2) Fuel Pipe 1 (Pipe.STL)
3) Fuel Pipe 2 (Pipe2.STL)
4) Machine Panel (PumpPanel.STL)
5) Pump Holder (PumpThing3.STL)
Nozzle size = 0.3 mm (Should be printable with 0.4)
Layer height = 0.2 mm
Filament change layer for colours on "FlatBase3.STL" & "FlatBase3 - No Holes.STL":
1) Start (Overall base colour, mine is in black)
2) Layer 9 (Divider colour, mine is in grey)
Filament change layer for colours on "Walls.STL" & "Walls - Plain.STL", tiny building walls:
1) Start (Lowest part, mine is in blue)
2) Layer 16 (Lowest line of the wall, mine is in white)
3) Layer 64 (Middle section of the building, mine is in blue)
4) Layer 180 (Highest line of the wall, mine is in white)
5) Layer 24 (Top part, mine is in blue)
Filament change layer for colours on "Floor.STL", floor for tiny building:
1) Start (Floor gaps colour, mine is in grey)
2) Layer 6 (Tiles colours, mine is in white)
Filament change layer for colours on "TinyRoof2.STL", tiny building roof:
1) Start (Lower line, mine is in blue)
2) Layer 16 (Middle part, mine is in white)
Filament change layer for colours on "TopWalls.STL" & "TopWalls - Plain.STL", station top:
1) Start (Lowest part, mine is in blue)
2) Layer 14 (Middle part of the wall, mine is in white)
3) Layer 89 (Top part, mine is in blue)
The car is tied by wires through the hole in the flat base, the second car has a single hole for screwing a screw through it.
Flat base should fit nicely into the base, the tflat base should be glued or tape to the base. As for the alignment of the flat base to the base, see picture below.
Print the building walls first, the door will fit into the gap but will need some additional tape to hold it there. The large window area has no printed piece, I use a transparent PVC sheet. Floor should fit in nicely, there is a gap for the table to fit in, the shelf will fit in nicely into the back wall.
Prop pieces are optional, I printed mine in white and coloured them by hand. It is meant to make the shelf looks like it is filled with something.
Print the walls of the station top first, the plate which work as the ceiling of the petrol station will slide in nicely into the walls. Print the clips to hold the ceiling piece to the walls. Station top will just fit nicely on the walls, the penguin petrol logo will fit nicely into the square hole at the side.
The 2 holes in the ceiling piece is meant for large LED, if you have a smaller LED you can use the "LightPatch" to make the hole smaller.
Print the main machine body first, the first dent into the body is meant for the machine panel. The 2 round holes on top is meant for the fuel pipes, print 2 of each pipes to fit into the main body. The 2 lower holes is meant for the fuel gun holder, it will fit in nicely and print 4 of them.
All parts are best to be glued on the machine body but double sided tape works too.
With the flat plate on the base, put the completed tiny building in the corner. The fuel pump will fit on to the largest hole on the divider on the flat base. The 2 smaller hole is meant for the square pillars connecting the flat base to the station top.
If you are unsure on how to assemble them, please send me a message or leave a comment.
Feel free to send me any feedback on how to improve the design. Suggestion on display base designs are welcomed too.
