As you will read in the description of my "I Made One", I was only able to locate four hex pencils long enough to be of use in the original pencil shelf. However, I DID manage to find a stack of pencil crayons which my children had put into a throwing away box. (They reckon that they are too old for 'colouring in' any more). Hence the remix.
I have blanked off the holes which take the ends of the pencils so you will have to cut them all to the same length. Each hole is 8mm deep and there is 2mm of solid wall beneath them.
My pencils were around 7.7mm diameter and although the holes in the shelf are 8mm in diameter in my original drawing file, they shrink down when printed as described by Nophead here: http://hydraraptor.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/polyholes.html .
(Owl print by my mate Mark Gilbert - thanks Mark)
