I liked the simplicity of the Pen Pal by infocus but the gap wasn't big enough for my monitor. I took the concept and created a new version that would fit my Dell P2414H. Then I realized I had something not very long that I wanted handy but wasn't tall enough to be retrievable so I added a lip to the front. Then I made another version that has an even wider gap for older, thicker displays.
