Summary

This is a solid base with side clips that can be used to make various tool holders. My purpose was to design a pegboard holder that could print easily without rafts and without any support material. Fits 1/4 inch pegboard holes at 1 inch interval separation.

The base is a solid block of plastic with side protrusions that "snap" into two side pieces which are printed separately from the base.

To use this base for your own project, you need to include the module in your project. The module takes a single argument, which is the width in inches (must be an integer if the project is going to fit on standard pegboard). Simply design the tool holes you want in the base using openscad and combine the two with a difference call. I have included an example using an array of hexagonal holes to make a holder for little hex bits.

There is a second module in the base file called baseDeep which makes a deeper (ie extends further inferior) base. I haven't used this yet, but it might be nice for having angled tool holes that come out the front.

If you just want to print the hex holder in the picture, all you need are the example.stl and side.stl files. The ".scad" and "base" files are for making your own tool holders in openscad.
