The file 'Parametric Drill Bit Stand 3D Printer Model' is (scad, stl,sh,txt) file type, size is 365.7KB.
I had various drill bits of unusual sizes in my toolbox, so I have decided to make a parametric stand for them in order to see their diameters instead of measuring them one-by-one all the time. The thing can be easily customized for different diameters and number of rows. See the instructions.
I used DroidSans font imported to OpenSCAD using http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9126, and an algoritm for precision sizing and shaping 3D printed holes, as described in http://hydraraptor.blogspot.com/2011/02/polyholes.html and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6118.
The OpenSCAD source can be edited to create a stand with different number of rows or for different drill sizes.
