This is a CNC Router I designed in Fusion 360 several years ago and has been available on GrabCad for some time. Very few parts on it would be suitable for 3D printing, but some here may find it interesting. The project uses off-the-shelf components with a framework comprised of 4080 aluminum extrusions, but does require quite a few aluminum plates which may be expensive to source or mill. You can find the most recent version of this router here: https://grabcad.com/library/parametric-cnc-router-model-5-1
I also have a version of this router using a single 80x160 extrusion for the gantry in place of the two 40x80 extrusions, which I believe would provide a much stronger X-axis. That version is available here: https://grabcad.com/library/parametric-cnc-router-model-6-1
This is a DIY project, but NOT an inexpensive router to build.
I have included CAD files in .f3d (Fusion 360) and .step formats.
4/19/24 - CAD files updated to latest version.
