Paradoxical gears is a concept I reversed engineered around Oskar Van Deventer and his renditions on Paradoxical gears. From his YouTube video's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGAnmRb66s0) and other references, I designed a model of my own that works pretty much identically. The weird thing about how these work is that three identical gears can turn in the same and opposite directions depending on how they turn. Sure they're totally inefficient, but really fascinating and counter intuitive if you ask me.
