My first foray into 3D modelling in about 25 years, boy have things changed. Very much liked the snap-fit design of the original and needed something to cut my teeth on.
Modified original to be a panel mounted design and added discrete buttons as the original buttons could not be depressed due to interference with the screen. Also tightened up tolerances for a much snugger fit and overall better LCD visibility and clearance.
Removed reset button hole but left a dent on the inside to afford the button some clearance and to easily locate if you want to add the hole back (PS its not perfectly aligned).
Added chamfered bumpers on the side walls to tighten up the fit but still allow for an easy insertion.
