This is a panel mount clip for the Omron H7CN Series of solid state counters used for industrial automation systems. It allows the device to be mounted through a front-facing panel or bulkhead, making the interface and readout more accessible.
The clip has teeth on either side that latch with the ridges along the side of the modules, holding them in place against the back of the panel. This force can be augmented using two screws, which can be threaded through the holes in either corner and fastened tight against the panel, holding the module in place more securely.
Many, if not most of these are sold without any sort of panel mounting clip or adapter available, so this one is available to print which fits any of the counters in the series. It would also fit any other Omron device with the same dimensions as the H7CN series - this can be verified by comparing with the dimensions listed in the linked datasheet below.
