So my mother is a librarian and mother's day is coming up. This is the present that I made for her. The book stand itself is based off of a fractal generated in the program Apophysis, modified in Photoshop, 3D'd in Shapeways 3d-2d converter, converted to stl in netfabb, converted to bookstand form in tinkercad, and then finally cleaned up in meshlab. deep breath
This item has not yet been printed but it was designed with printability in mind. So attached are the x3D files that I will be using to print this when I get around to it in the next couple of days.
I added a second file that is solid and lacks the holes for a much easier print. Its book stand 2
