This device is simple and safe to use to slice the skin of an orange to a certain depth, making an orange (or other fruit) easy to peel by hand.
Slip the slicer onto your middle finger with the blade facing inwards, then hold the orange up to it and spin the orange against it.
I use 2 full circular cuts top to bottom and back to top, creating 4 skin peels, but you can cut more to make it a bit easier to peel each one by cutting more.
Washington navels have a thicker skin, so I use the standard one, other types of orange have a thinner skin, so use the "thin skin" model.
They only take a few minutes to print, so I have a few on hand, and give them away as gifts for our Scouts.
