Summary

In this project, I am developing a high-performance Network Attached Storage (NAS) server using the Orange Pi 5 single-board computer. The project includes a 5V, 10A power supply for stability, dual OLED screens for real-time monitoring, and a storage system that emphasizes the use of Solid State Drives (SSDs). Additionally, modifications have been made to improve the physical design, ensuring a better fit for the SATA/USB adapter and implementing a secure cover for the fan to prevent unintended displacement.

Key Components:

Orange Pi 5: The heart of the project, providing the computational power and connectivity required for a NAS server.

Orange Pi 5 ICE Cooler Fan https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1005005538963331.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.73.2abfcaa4UKttAR&gatewayAdapt=glo2bra

Dual OLED Screens: Integrating two OLED screens to display essential information about the NAS, such as system status, storage utilization, and network details. These screens not only serve a functional purpose but also enhance the overall aesthetics of the server.

5V, 10A Power Supply: A stable power source to support the Orange Pi 5, dual OLED screens, and the connected storage devices.

HDDs and SSDs: Inclusion of both Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) and Solid State Drives (SSDs) for storage. Emphasis on SSDs for faster data transfer speeds and lower heat generation.

Fan: 120mm x 120mm x 25mm. 5V or use a step up for your fan.

OBS: use inserts and m2 6mm screws.

Project Goals:

Create a reliable and efficient NAS solution with the Orange Pi 5.Utilize the dual OLED screens to provide real-time information and enhance user interaction.

Planned Features:

Real-time System Monitoring: Display crucial system metrics, including CPU usage, RAM utilization, and temperature, on one of the OLED screens.Storage Information: Show information about available storage space, disk health, and data transfer speeds on the second OLED screen.

Expected Benefits:

Improved user experience with comprehensive and visually appealing information display.Efficient utilization of the Orange Pi 5 for a powerful and reliable NAS solution.Enhanced aesthetics with the incorporation of dual OLED screens for a modern and sophisticated look.

By combining the Orange Pi 5's capabilities with dual OLED screens, this NAS server project aims to deliver a high-performance and visually engaging storage solution, catering to both functionality and aesthetics.
