This is a vertical stand designed to hold a tablet, made as a practice in design optimization to reduce the overall weight. It's modeled to accomodate a tablet+case (iPad Pro with keyboard folio case) which is ~0.5in thick. It was designed to have an opening of 0.6in but it can be scaled horizontally to accomodate slightly wider/narrower tablets/objects.
