Customizable adapters for using Olympic weight plates having 50mm (2-inch) holes on a standard 25mm (1-inch) weightlifting bar.
The "guard" is what I'm calling the larger-diameter disk that prevents the weights from slipping over the center part of the bar (the inner collar on a standard lift bar is likely less than the 2" diameter hole in the Olympic weights). An additional guard-only part should be placed on the outside of the weights as well, if your 1" collar is not large enough to keep the weights from coming off.
I selected plate sizes based on the width of my rubber-coated Olympic weights (2.5 lb, 5 lb, 10 lb, and 25 lb), but you can create your own customized sizes using the attached SCAD file.
Print with lots of perimeter layers and 100% infill for maximum strength -- and of course be careful!
