Summary

A set of bare Oak tree trunks and branches, featuring some accurate bark texture built-in. Perfect for printing in detail, and filling out with dried Baby's Breath, Seafoam, or the Tree Branch/Shrub Armatures I designed for just this purpose! For variation, mix these up with my Birch Tree Armatures to build out a quick forest for your games.

I designed these for a D&D game, and they're meant to be printed on an SLA printer to capture all the texture detail. I've also included several version of each trunk at different heights, so you can mix and match them to make your trees look natural and varied.

These tree armatures are designed for 28mm scale, but they can absolutely be scaled to match your game. You can get a LOT of detail out of them with simple drybrushing or using a dark-wash, thanks to the built-in texture.

I'll be creating more variations and add them over time - so be sure to keep an eye on this page for more models!

As always, I'd love to see how you all print these and use them in your games. Please add makes/pictures so others can get some ideas for how to use them!

Update 1 (March 14, 2021)

  • Separated models into three distinct trunk shapes
  • Created three variations of each trunk shape with the same scale but different heights - allowing for more dynamic/natural look when mixing/matching
  • Completely revisited the tree models and structure, ensuring texture displacement was consistent across the models
  • Added a number of small branches to each model for more layers of detail
