I picked up a second hand O scale train car and have begun designing a cheap model of the bogies for tabletop wargaming. My goal is to have a 3d printed frame and side panels made of card stock for cheap Warmachine Terrain.
*Edit 4-3-17 - I get some many hits on this that I feel I aught to finish it. the holdup is that my printer died and I've been in process of getting a new printer setup. New printer is an ANET A8. I also picked up some second hand Lionel train cars to look at for design. And I've learned a few tips and tricks for Openscad that might make this a better model. Look for a v2.0 soon.

When I started doing these bogies, I had a Micro3d that could barely do the job. I was fumbling through learning Openscad, and there was nothing else out there. Now I see work like this guy has done and I want to change mine to be like his. So when I pick this up again, expect to see it as a remix. I want to do a version that does not need external parts. A 1 plate full 3d printed bogie.
