The file 'Northern Cardinal “puzzle” 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 19.3MB.
A Northern Cardinal or Red Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis).
This model is assembled with several parts and there are several poses available, depending on the parts you will be using.
The crest has 3 positions :
L. low
M. medium
H. high.
At first I wanted a movable crest but it was too complicated, maybe in the future.
The paws come with 3 variants :
a. Standing with a base.
b. Standing (the tail don't touch the floor), you will need to glue the paws to a base.
c."leaning", the tail will touch the floor.
The face (e) and the beak (f) are separated to be printed alone.
There is also a body merged with the face and the beak.
The last pictures show how to print the main parts (support), you will need some glue for the face
I highly recommend to print the face and the beak with 0.1mm layers (but it work with 0.2mm).
The body can be printed with 0.1 or 0.2 mm layers. I have not tested with thicker layers.
I used 70° max support to allow easy cleaning.
The paws can be printed with 0.2 layers or more.
If you want to fast test assembly between the elements, I added a cropped face-body-part-thing (d).
If you want the same result as the first picture, it's the M + c + e + f parts.
