I have seen quite a lot of cases for the ESP8266 but not all of them fits this model (58mm x 32mm). I also wanted to create something that allowed the use of the GPIO pins.
This case uses a standard barrel jack to power both the LED strip and the ESP8266 through its header pins. The LEDs plug in through a JST SM 3 Wire connector.
This was my first ever design made in CAD software but I went through a couple iterations to get to this end product. I have mounted this using 3M VHB double sided tape.
Supports were used from the print surface for both the barrel jack and LED connector openings.
