The file 'Nistkasten | Birdhouse | Nesting Box 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 31.7KB.
Based on the instructions by NABU (german conservation association) I created a nesting box for cave brooders (Höhlenbrüter) like red tails and titmouses (Rotschwänzchen, Meisen).
It is divided into 3 parts (body, front, roof) and can be easily assembled by simply putting the parts together.
Everything can be printed without any supports. An infill of 10% should be more than enough.
The holes in the bottom are for drainage, the ones on the left and right are for venting. The holes in the back are for mounting the box to a tree. I used simple gardening wire to protect the tree and for easier unmounting.
I printed the box in PLA but PETG is recommended.
