Currently installed and working like a champ in 2006 Nissan Xterra. Fits snug (as it should) but not too tight. Lubricated with silicone grease that I had from fishing shop for fishing reels. Total install time appx. 1 hour including console disassembly and reassembly.
Only in operation for 1 day so far, will update if there are any future changes in operation.
