Summary

EDIT: Project was moved to Printables.com ( https://www.printables.com/model/1016015-next-level-racing-gt-lite-gt-lite-pro-reinforcemen )

Thingiverse is outdated. Come to Printables.

Soooo, as I have not found any possible solution to make the body of NLR: GT Lite / GT Lite Pro stiffer, I had to find a solution for it. This project took me some time and will still be in development once I find some better way. There could be a change coming. Finally, I can, with peace in my mind, tell you it's good to go, and the difference is unbelievable. There is almost no movement in the frame of the body, and you can still enjoy the practical side of the fold-able rig without any time loss. I mean, 15 seconds of removing the stuff will not bother you that much for the gain you can get.

I am 173cm tall (dwarf) and I needed to put the plate which holds the wheelbase in the last possible position to move it as close to me as possible. This has caused pretty awful up and down movement, which I obviously didn't like that much. If you are in the same situation, here is the solution. I have bought cheap wooden sticks used as handles for shovels and that kind of stuff. The diameter of the stick is 28mm!!! If you use any other, you need to prepare the models to fit your exact size. You can also always write to me ([email protected]) and I will prepare it for you, if you are not very familiar with editing of those, for some complimentary reward on PayPal or anything else. If you don't have a 3D printer I can even send it to you, but I live in Switzerland, so bare that in mind. If I like you and you behave like a human, it could even be for free. I mean only the editing, of course.

Manual:

  1. Print the stuff needed

  2. Put one end of the stick inside of one side of the printed part

  3. Place it on the frame and look at how much of the stick you need to cut, to be possible to put it inside the printed part on the other side of the frame.

  4. You can select from the models if you want the "Quick-release" solution with open end, which is meant for faster disassembly, or the "Clamps" variant, which is held by a screw. (The screw needed is 50mm M5 + bushing on both sides)

  5. Finish

  6. Profit?! ..

Models:

  1. Reinforcement bar A (Quick-release), B (Clamps)

  2. Baseplate stabilizer (28mm bar diameter)

  3. Joint ( Reinforcement 28mm vs Frame )

  4. Tablet mount for MOZA base, (you need velcrotape)
