Add a fan to shed some degrees off your 3D printer stepper motor.
My y-axis motor runs the hottest of the five so I'm adding a fan to cool it down a bit. I may also add one to the x-axis motor too.
Uses a standard 40mm 12v fan.
The fan housing is a press fit on the end of the stepper motor and has captive nuts for the fan screws. The housing has a step inside to set a 5mm gap at the rear of the motor. The idea is the air will enter through the fan and exit via the four side vents.
Just hook it staight onto the 12 volt supply and run it whenever you are using the printer.
