This is for the NCE power cab circuit board and the NCE usb adaptor so you can run JMRI. I did not like how the circuit boards were loose and just flopped around Especially for my programming track so I built this to house them in 1 box. There are 2 versions of the top 1 with mounting hols for under a layout or under a shelf and 1 without mounting holes for sitting on a desktop
TO ASSEMBLE
All the hex screws that were used were 3mm hex socket head cap screws.
small recommendation before you install any boards run the screws in by themselves as the holes are not pre-threaded
use 4 3mmx5mm screws to attach the USB board to the bottom.
Attach the top to the bottom of the layout (or shelf or whatever) using 2 #10 screws. Please note the top is 0.2 inches tall so just shy of a quarter inch. Please take that into consideration
Next thread the power cable and the track power cables through the holes in the bottom piece.
THEN attach the phoenix connector to the track power
Attach the power and the phoenix connector to the utp panel then attach that to the top using the screws that came with the UTP panel
Attach the RJ12 cable to the usb board and the utp panel
then connect the 2 halves together using 4 3mm x 10mm screws
Also included is just a bare faceplate
