NASA's New Horizons space probe is one of the most exciting topics in astronomy right now. Recently we saw it pass Pluto and witnessed some of the most spectacular photos of space I think we have ever seen. Its mission is to try and understand the formation of the early Solar System and on January 1st 2019 it will reach the Kuiper belt where we expect more fascinating discoveries.
So what is this?
This is another of my entries into the BoseBUILD competition: https://www.instructables.com/contest/bosebuild/design/NASAs-New-Horizons-Rocket-Atlas-V/
More specifically it is a model of the Atlas V 551 rocket that sent the New Horizons probe into space back in January 2006.
If you like it please consider voting for me.
You can use this in your own projects (the full model is without logos is included here) or if you are lucky enough to own a BoseBUILD you can print your own with the top/bottom STL's included in this 'THING'.
