The file 'NASA Moon Trek Crater Chain 3D Terrain Puzzle 3D Printer Model' is (curaprofile,3mf,stl,f3d) file type, size is 88.3MB.
9 piece 3D puzzle of the Moon Gregory Crater Chain.
Puzzle design made with Draradech's jigsaw pattern generator:
Pieces cut at 0.15 spacing using the free personal use version of Autodesk Fusion 360 & the 2021 July released Parametric Mesh Editing workspace. Fusion 360 archive file provided so you may adjust the cut spacing & tinker & learn from this prototype example.
Check fit by printing 2 adjacent side pieces...the 0.15 cut worked fine for us with 0.6 steel nozzle & eSun PLA+.
Print the pieces on a side for much better resolution & quality of the terrain surface. See the provided Cura profile with the 'cross' "support" settings we used with the 0.6 nozzle.
Pieces provided in .3MF rather than .STL since Cura, 3D Builder (MS Windows App), & Fusion 360 all now support .3MF
Export your own 3D terrain .STL & enjoy 3D views (including VR) of this crater chain (or any part of the Moon) using the NASA Moon Trek
