Summary

This is a handheld game console that I chalanged myself to design and build in one weekend.

Its based on the raspberry pi zero and uses retopie as the os. I've preconfigured an image of retropie with all the changes made so that it should be pretty simple to get up and running. As of now the img is too large. I will update with a slimmed down version as soon as I have it sorted

There is a pdf included in the files that is a guid to building this with links to all the guides need to get you up and running.

Building this has some inherent dangers that I am not responsible for. It will involve soldering lipo battery connections. These are very dangerous and can burst into flames if mishandled. That said. If you follow the guide (at your own risk) you should be fine. There is also soldering that can be painful if you grab the wrong end and there's trimming of fibreglass strip-board that is toxic so use a good quality mask.

I did design this to be as easy as possible to build but still wouldn't recommend it if your a total novice with electronics.

I extensively plundered the Sudomod forums for the info on all aspects of this build

1x 3D printed case
1x Strip-board cut into the required shapes later
1x 1.44 inch ili9163 128x128 tft spi screen module (cheapest you can find with no touch screen)
1x Raspberry Pi Zero W or none w (+usb wifi if you go for the cheaper non wifi model)
1x PAM8403 Module Super mini digital amplifier
10x Tactile Switch SPST-NO Top Actuated Through Hole type (or similar)
1x 10uf electrolytic capacitor
1x 0.033uf monolithic ceramic capacitor
1x 150ohm resistor
1x 270ohm resistor
1x 100onm resistor
1x ferrite bead (2mm hole if you can find it)
1x psp 1000 speaker
1x 750mah 3.7v lipo battery ( I designed it to use the type used in cheap drones)
1x Red SMT led
1x Adafruit powerboost 500
1x Micro SD card (size is up to you depending on how many games you plan on using)
4x M2 20mm screws (I used hex cup heads)
1x M2 6mm countersunk screw
1x 5V 0.3A Black Mini Size SPDT Slide Switch On-Off 3-Pin
1x Breadboard (semi) optional

I am thinking of this stage as a beta test so welcome feedback. I'll update the guide as problems come up
